The SportsFags’ 2010 2nd Annual Jock NFL Draft: Picks 1-10

Ever since the conclusion of the college football season, NFL scouts and talent evaluators have been measuring, testing, poking, prodding and fingering — well ok maybe not fingering — draft eligible football players, for the purposes of evaluating their draft value and potential.

Over the same time period, I’ve been busy evaluating the same athletes, but using a slightly different scale.

While ESPN analysts like Mel Kiper and Todd McShay are developing their latest NFL Mock Drafts, I’ve been sifting through hundreds of photos and bios, with both hands , to determine who belongs in the SportsFags’ 2010 Jock NFL Draft. Our jock draft board consists of the hottest 32 draft eligible players, not drafted based on position or team need but rather on who’s the hottest.

McCoy and Shipley Take On Reesing

With a win Saturday against Kansas, or next Thursday against rival Texas A&M, Texas wraps up the Big 12 South title and will face the winner of this week’s Nebraska / Kansas State game in the Big 12 championship.

Kansas is in turmoil both on the field and off. The Jayhawks have lost five straight and only once this season have held an opponent to less than 30 points. Former players are speaking out against uncomfortably named head coach Mark Mangino’s (real close to mangina, like vagina) verbal abuse.

The Longhorns are on a roll and Colt McCoy has the next four games to make a statement for the Heisman Trophy. McCoy’s roommate and fellow hottie Jordan Shipley will return to kickoff duties this week following the suspension of D.J. Monroe. I expect Texas to roll and possibly cover as 28-point favorites.

It’s a night game which gives us gay sports fans a much better look at Colt McCoy’s ass through those Texas football pants. And while Colt’s bubble butt looks mighty meaty, don’t forget to get a look at Jordan Shipley’s muscular ass as well. I don’t know which one I prefer more?

Top 25 College Football Hottie Preview #16 Jordan Shipley

Longhorn hottie Jordan Shipley has been Colt McCoys roommate for so long they would be considered domestic partners in some states. The 2009 season will be Shipley’s sixth in Austin and it marks the fourth consecutive year in which he has lived with his buddy Colt. The unique relationship between Colt and Jordan goes beyond just being roomies though. Not only are they friends and roomies but their fathers played college football together. And, each has a really beefy ass (see below).

The NCAA granted Shipley a medical hardship which allows him to return for his sixth and final season. Shipley’s career at Texas has ranged from full of promise, to injury plagued, to a break out year in 2008 in which he was responsible for over 1500 all-purpose yards. McCoy and Shipley look to once again be the catalysts to one of college football’s most explosive offenses. Jordan sat out spring drills to recover from shoulder surgery and has been plagued with knee and hamstring issues throughout his career.

At 6-0 and 190 lbs, Shipley is considered small by NFL standards but you can’t teach speed and Shipley can burn. Jordan has been named to just about every offensive pre season awards watch lists including the Walter Camp Player of the Year, Fred Biletnikoff and Maxwell awards watch list. His kickoff return in 2008 versus Oklahoma, the only kick return in the history of the Red River Rivalry, will forever be remembered as the play that turned the game around for Texas. Jordan stepped up his game against the stiffest competition last year. Consider this, in addition to the kickoff return against OU he also pulled in 11 receptions for 112 yards and 1 TD. Against Texas Tech his 45 yard punt return in the 3rd ignited a deflated Longhorn squad. Finally, against Oklahoma State he set a school record with 15 passes for 168 yards.

And, if Big 12 fans thought this season marks the end of seeing a Shipley in a Longhorn uniform, Jordan’s younger brother Jaxon appears headed to UT in 2011.
