NFL Draft First Round Selections

Where was my favorite player(s) drafted? What team drafted Tim Tebow? How about Colt McCoy? How far did Jimmy Clausen drop in the draft? After the first round of the NFL draft, only Bradford and Tebow knew of their NFL destination.

Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing

Brian Cushing on draft day 2009

NFL linebacker Brain Cushing is making a name for himself with gay sports fans both on and off the field. The Houston Texans selected the extremely well built and former USC LB with the 15th overall pick of the 2009 draft and he subsequently earned the NFL’s 2009 Defensive Rookie of the Year award.

The 6-2/243 native of Park Ridge, N.J. was born on Jan. 24, 1987. Per the bio on Brian Cushing’s website he’s a homebody so you’re more likely to catch him in the gym versus trolling around on Montrose.

While at USC in 2008, Cushing was named First Team All American and was part of a linebacking corp that sent three first rounders to the NFL (Clay Matthews, Green Bay Packers and Brian Orakpo, Washington Redskins).

Former USC linebacker Brian Cushing was named the AP’s NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, receiving 39 out of 50 votes by a nationwide panel of 50 sports writers and broadcasters. If you’re wondering why USC had a little bit of a drop off this year consider this, Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, who also went to USC and was a first-round draft pick, earned three votes and Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo, another first-round pick from USC, received two votes. Cincinnati Bengals rookie linebacker Rey Maualuga was also a 2010 first-round pick from USC.

Cushing finished the season with 134 tackles for the Houston Texans who finished with their first winning season and narrowly missed the playoffs. Check out the SportsFags bio of Brian Cushing complete with hot shirtless photos and a link to his personal website.
