One Hot Gopher

eric_decker4Minnesota wide receiver Eric Decker is off to a fast start in his senior season. Most NFL scouts and draft gurus rate Decker as the third best receiver in college football behind only Oklahoma State’s Dez Bryant and Georgia’s A.J. Green.

And when the Minnesota Twins selected Decker in the 27th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft this summer it seemed like the only thing keeping him out of the NFL would be MLB. Yet Decker has decided to wait until his college days are done before making that football/baseball decision.

Imagine the possibility of Decker and Joe Mauer in the same locker room for the Twins! Good thing Minnesota has a thousand lakes cause I’m getting hot just thinking about it. Decker’s sculpted 6-foot-3, 215-pound-frame looks great in football pads, a baseball uniform or when he decides to go shirtless and show off his ripped body (below).

It’s a shame that our Sportsfags Research Team missed Eric Decker when putting together our 2009 Top 25 College Football Hotties rankings. I’ll have to call a staff meeting on Monday. Can you say, “Below Expectations”?

I know this is purely gay sports selfishness on my part but knowing players get more face time in baseball I’m hoping Decker chooses the diamond over the gridiron.
