Buy Jockey and praise God
Unsigned Denver Bronco’s quarterback
Tim Tebow signed a deal to endorse Jockey underwear and apparel on Tuesday. The deal seems like a natural fit for a company and a quarterback who aren’t quite the best at what they do, but are full of potential.
No word yet if the underwear comes with scripture stitched into the lining.
Knowing Tebow’s cult-like status may dry up the market for product endorsements, others stars rushed to sign deals on Tuesday including: Lady Gaga and Derma Blend, Elton John and the new Island Splash Fragrance Douche from Summer’s Eve and Madonna will become the official spokesperson for adopting African babies.
Rumors have it that a competing underwear company will sign the rookie quarterback with the best ass in football: Colt McCoy.

How much will this ass fetch?

The SportsFags’ 2010 2nd Annual Jock NFL Draft: Picks 11-20
Ever since the conclusion of the college football season, NFL scouts and talent evaluators have been measuring, testing, poking, prodding and fingering — well ok maybe not fingering — draft eligible football players, for the purposes of evaluating their draft value and potential.
Over the same time period, I’ve been busy evaluating the same athletes, but using a slightly different scale.
While ESPN analysts like Mel Kiper and Todd McShay are developing their latest NFL Mock Drafts, I’ve been sifting through hundreds of photos and bios, with both hands
, to determine who belongs in the SportsFags’ 2010 Jock NFL Draft. Our jock draft board consists of the hottest 32 draft eligible players, not drafted based on position or team need but rather on who’s the hottest.

Colt McCoy was flawless at Pro Day.
Three weeks from today, April 22, the NFL draft will, for the first time ever, enjoy Thursday night prime time coverage on ESPN. The experts are swooning over the depth of the defensive lineman crop in this year’s draft, but defensive lineman don’t get ratings. If the guys over at ESPN hope to complete against the networks’ prime time dramas, they will develop the quarterback storylines. The game of football revolves around the quarterback position, until you get that settled, you are just spinning your wheels.
The Top 5
The top five quarterbacks are in no particular order: Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford, Texas’ Colt McCoy, Florida’s Tim Tebow, Central Michigan’s Dan Lefevour and Notre Dame’s Jimmy Clausen, with only Clausen yet to complete a pro day.
Colt McCoy and the rest of his Longhorn buddies wrapped up Texas Pro Day on Wednesday. McCoy looked great (McCoy and Shipley Pro-Day photos), throwing in public for the first time since the shoulder injury he suffered in the BCS title game, he completed all 55 of his passes to Jordan Shipley and former Longhorn Quan Cosby. By the way, Shipley looked great in his undies as well.
Jimmy Clausen, recovering from foot surgery in January, will have his own Pro Day at Notre Dame on April 9. Tebow, Bradford and LeFevour have all completed their workouts for the NFL scouts.
Potential Suitors for the Top 5 Quarterbacks
- St. Louis Rams – With the overall #1 pick, the Rams can choose any of the four, but they are scheduling Bradford for a private workout just days before the draft. There’s no hiding the Rams intentions, but if they pass on Bradford and trade down, they could bank on picking up either McCoy or Clausen.
- Cleveland Browns – Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson are out, and Jake Delhomme is in. I gotta believe the Browns will walk away with one of the top five quarterbacks.
- Buffalo Bills – Trent Edwards is hot, but not a star QB and his backup is Ryan Fitzpatrick.
- Oakland Raiders – If Al Davis can’t work out a trade for Eagles’ quarterback Donovan McNabb before the draft, the Raiders may go quarterback with the eighth pick.
- Washington Redskins – Does anyone really think Dan Snyder is sold on starter Jason Campbell? What to watch for: Who’s making the draft decisions now that Vinny Cerrato is out. Could Clausen possibly go as high as #4 or would the Redskins trade down and go after a more mobile quarterback like McCoy?
- Seattle Seahawks – New head coach Pete Carroll loves the college game and tutoring young quarterbacks, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they select one of the top five.
- New England, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Houston, Cincinnati, Green Bay, Dallas, San Diego – These teams have solid starters, lack quality depth and could spend a year or two developing a quarterback like Dan Lefevour or Tim Tebow.
