As evidenced by his wearing of Superman’s cap during the 2008 All-Star Dunk contests, Dwight has never lacked confidence in his ability. He’s best known for aggressive defense and solid rebounding, but Howard is versatile and athletic enough offensively to play the 4 and the 5. He holds several of the “Youngest Player to do…” awards including youngest to 3000, 4000 and 5000 rebounds, youngest to average a double-double and youngest to lead the league in rebounding and blocks.
In 2008-09, Howard averaged 20 and 13, but it was his presence down low and nearly three blocks per game that helped lead Orlando to the NBA Finals and earned Dwight the 2009 Defensive Player of the Year Award.
I know of no other professional athlete who is as chiseled and muscled up as Dwight Howard. Howard with his shirt off makes 95% of the male population feel inadequate — there’s a 5% douchebag factor built into my numbers. If you are into the tall, dark, handsome and like 3% body fat type of guy than Dwight’s your man. Or if you prefer short, fat and squatty we can always profile his coach Stan Van Gundy.
